[LEAKED] iPhone 5C Revealed in a Report Saying Apple is Abusing Its Workers

A report has accused apple of labor abuse in their China factory, also revealing that the giant is working on a low-cost iPhone that will be marketed as the iPhone 5C.

Chinese labor group alleges worker abuse by Apple supplier Pegatron

A report from New York-based China Labor Watch has raised concerns over a new wave of worker abuse among Apple suppliers.

While Cook and co attempt to shift some of their manufacturing load from Foxconn—which has drawn its own share of criticism for worker abuse—it seems it can't leave behind poor working conditions, reports the Wall Street Journal. The new report alleges that factories owned by Taiwan's Pegatron Corp, and two of its subsidiaries, have violated safety and environmental regulations, withheld worker pay or their ID cards required to work elsewhere, and provide substandard living conditions.

Apple has since issued a statement explaining that it is "committed to providing safe and fair working conditions throughout our supply chain." The company insists that it's undertaken 15 audits at Pegatron facilities since 2007—including surprise audits in the last 18 months—but also says it will investigate the new allegations.

Pegatron may have managed to keep itself out of trouble in the past because for Apple it was a small concern compared to Foxconn. Now, with more manufacturing than ever heading its way, it's coming under scrutiny. If it wants to keep Apple's business, perhaps it better clean up its act. For the rest of us, the news serves as another (un)welcome reminded about the providence of our electronics.

Mum Puts Son's Virginity on 'Sale'. This is What She'll Give You in Return

A mother has posted an ad on Craigslist in Philadelphia looking for a young woman to seduce her 18-year-old son and take his virginity. In return the chosen young woman is promised that her 'financial issues will disappear' and also a car of her choice.

Scheming mom posts an ad looking for girl to seduce and deflower her Harvard-bound son

Looking to send her nerdy son off to Harvard in style, this helicopter parent to end all helicopter parents has taken to Craigslist's "casual encounters" section to seek a young woman who can help claim the "socially awkward" boy's virginity, and turn him into a "cool college kid."
The plan is simple: You, a 19 to 20-something seductress, pick up a pair of complimentary tickets to "some great concert," where your target, a handsome 18-year-old varsity cross country team member with "almost zero body fat" will be waiting unsuspectingly.
"Now you spring into action," the ad continues:
You start talking to him during the concert and eventually pick him up. Ask him to take you somewhere after and ditch your friends. Then you seduce him and take his virginity. Keep dating him (and showing him different sex positions) til he goes to college and then let him go gently so he'll have the confidence to date other girls once he's there.
There's a catch, of course: Whatever you do, don't fall in love.

Google Announces Its Brand New Apple TV-Killer.

Google is bringing media flinging to Android, iOS and laptops with a new $35 dongle called Chromecast.

Google  is taking another stab at being the center of your living room, and this time they’ve opted for an affordable, platform-agnostic device called Chromecast.
Essentially Chromecast is a 2-inch HDMI dongle running a stripped down version of Google’s Chrome OS. A user plugs it into any HDMI-equipped television or monitor, connects it to their home Wireless network, and enjoys the ability to stream content like Netflix , YouTube, Google Play Music, or open Chrome tabs to their HDTV with the press of a button on their device.
The appeal should extend beyond the aggressive $35 price tag. At a press event earlier today hosted by Sundar Pichai, Google’s Senior Vice President of Android and Chrome Apps, the company emphasized the importance of not having to learn anything new. No additional menus, no unfamiliar user interfaces. Chromecast is controlled by software you already use on a daily basis.
To illustrate its functionality, imagine you’re lounging on the couch watching House of Cards via Netflix on your Nexus 7 — or any Android tablet or phone. Press the new “cast” button on Netflix, and the show gets “beamed” to your television, by signaling to the Chromecast to pull that content down from the internet.
At that point, the device becomes a remote control, but also retains its full functionality. In other words, feel free to check your email, join a Google Hangout, or jump on Twitter while enjoying the content on your TV.
Here’s where Google made a wise decision: Chromecast is app-driven, not device-driven. This means it will work with your iPad, iPhone, Mac, all Android phones and tablets, even your desktop computer. (Blackberry and Windows Phone weren’t given a nod, however.) Even more brilliant is that the play state of your content — whether it’s a simple MP3 or a rented movie — syncs across all these devices, allowing you to pick up and play where left off.

$3.3 Billion Makes This Team World's Most Valuable Sports Franchise

Real Madrid is now the world's most valuable sports franchise, worth $3.3 billion!

Real Madrid headed a trio of European soccer clubs at the top of a list of the world's 50 most valuable sports teams released by Forbes on Monday, which was dominated by National Football League franchises.

The nine-times European champions were worth $3.3 billion, up from $1.88 billion last year, due in large part to increased revenue from deals with Adidas and Emirates Airlines, Forbes said in a statement.

Manchester United (3.17 billion) swapped places with Real and sit in second spot while Spanish soccer champions Barcelona (2.6 billion) moved up five places to third.

New York Yankees ($2.3 billion) fell one spot to fourth, followed by the Dallas Cowboys ($2.1 billion) and New England Patriots ($1.6 billion).

Rounding out the top 10 were MLB's Los Angeles Dodgers ($1.6 billion), the NFL's Washington Redskins and New York Giants, and London-based soccer club Arsenal ($1.3 billion).

With 30 teams in the top 50, the NFL occupies 60 percent of this year's list. The average value of the top 50 teams is $1.24 billion, which is a 16 percent increase from last year.

The 20 non-NFL teams in the top 50 are comprised of seven each from MLB and soccer, three from the National Basketball Association, two from motor racing and one from the National Hockey League.
